Application

Melamine cyanurate (MCA) has established itself as the flame retardant by achieving UL 94 V-0 especially for polyamide(PA)6 and 66. Addition of MCA gives PA6/PA66 good mechanical and electrical properties. Being halogen-free, MCA also has significant advantages in fire safety as it lowers smoke density and toxicity, and has less corrosive property. MCA is also used in rubber, nylon, PU, phenolic resin, PE, acrylic acid, lubricants, adhesives, and more.
